RGtk2 packages in Debian
As previously mentioned, I had built local packages of Michael Lawrence's RGtk2 port of the Gtk v2 widgets / toolkit to the R language and environment. This package, along with the related cairoDevice package, is now in Debian's main archive. RGtk2 extends and replaces the older r-omegahat-rgtk package.

For an two interesting applications using RGtk2, look at Graham William's rattle, a glade-based data-mining user-interface to several R functions, and at John Verzani's PMG (aka Poor Man's GUI) generic GUI for R.
