Title: Markov-Switching, Bayesian, Vector Autoregression Models
Diff between MSBVAR versions 0.6-0 dated 2011-02-01 and 0.7-0 dated 2012-07-23
Description: Provides methods for estimating frequentist and Bayesian
Vector Autoregression (VAR) models and Markov-switching
Bayesian VAR (MSBVAR). Functions for reduced form and
structural VAR models are also available. Includes methods for
the generating posterior inferences for these models,
forecasts, impulse responses (using likelihood-based error
bands), and forecast error decompositions. Also includes
utility functions for plotting forecasts and impulse responses,
and generating draws from Wishart and singular multivariate
normal densities. Current version includes functionality to
build and evaluate models with Markov switching.

Title: Joint meta-analysis of diagnostic test sensitivity and
specificity with or without a gold standard reference test
Diff between HSROC versions 2.1.3 dated 2012-07-11 and 2.1.4 dated 2012-07-23
Description: This package implements a model for joint meta-analysis of
sensitivity and specificity of the diagnostic test under
evaluation, while taking into account the possibly imperfect
sensitivity and specificity of the reference test. This
hierarchical model accounts for both within and between study
variability. Estimation is carried out using a Bayesian
approach, implemented via a Gibbs sampler. The model can be
applied in situations where more than one reference test is
used in the selected studies.

Title: Rcpp integration for GNU GSL vectors and matrices
Diff between RcppGSL versions 0.1.1 dated 2011-04-06 and 0.2.0 dated 2012-07-23
Description: Rcpp integration for GNU GSL vectors and matrices The GNU
Scientific Library (GSL) is a collection of numerical routines
for scientific computing. It is particularly useful for C and
C++ programs as it provides a standard C interface to a wide
range of mathematical routines such as special functions,
permutations, combinations, fast fourier transforms,
eigensystems, random numbers, quadrature, random distributions,
quasi-random sequences, Monte Carlo integration, N-tuples,
differential equations, simulated annealing, numerical
differentiation, interpolation, series acceleration, Chebyshev
approximations, root-finding, discrete Hankel transforms
physical constants, basis splines and wavelets. There are over
1000 functions in total with an extensive test suite.
The RcppGSL package provides an easy-to-use interface between GSL data
structures and R using concepts from Rcpp which is itself a
package that eases the interfaces between R and C++.
This package also serves as a prime example of how to build a package
that uses Rcpp to connect to anoother third-party library. The
autoconf script, inline plugin and example package can all be
used as a stanza to write a similar package against another
library.

Title: Graphical user interface for data mining in R
Diff between rattle versions 2.6.19 dated 2012-07-04 and 2.6.20 dated 2012-07-23
Description: Rattle (the R Analytic Tool To Learn Easily) provides a
Gnome (RGtk2) based interface to R functionality for data
mining. The aim is to provide a simple and intuitive interface
that allows a user to quickly load data from a CSV file (or via
ODBC), transform and explore the data, build and evaluate
models, and export models as PMML (predictive modelling markup
language) or as scores. All of this with knowing little about
R. All R commands are logged and commented through the log tab.
Thus they are available to the user as a script file or as an
aide for the user to learn R or to copy-and-paste directly into
R itself. Rattle also exports a number of utility functions
and the graphical user interface, invoked as rattle(), does not
need to be run to deploy these.

Title: Analyze Multinomial Processing Tree Models
Diff between MPTinR versions 0.8.10 dated 2012-04-19 and 0.9.4 dated 2012-07-23
Description: MPTinR provides a user-friendly way for the analysis of
multinomial processing tree (MPT) models (e.g., Riefer, D. M.,
and Batchelder, W. H. [1988]. Multinomial modeling and the
measurement of cognitive processes. Psychological Review, 95,
318-339) for single and multiple datasets. The main functions
perform model fitting and model selection. Model selection can
be done using AIC, BIC, or the Fisher Information Approximation
(FIA) a measure based on the Minimum Description Length (MDL)
framework. The model and restrictions can specified in external
files or within an R script in an intuitive syntax. The
'classical' .EQN file format for model files is also supported.
Besides MPTs, MPTinR can fit a wide variety of other cognitive
models such as SDT models (see fit.model). MPTinR supports
multicore fitting using the snowfall package. MPTinR can
generate data generating from a model for e.g., parametric
bootstrap.
