New package topocast with initial version 0.0.5
Package: topocast
Title: Moving-Window Regression Downscaling of Raster Data
Version: 0.0.5
Description: Downscales coarse-resolution raster data to a finer grid by fitting local linear regressions of a response, such as a climate variable, on one or more fine-resolution predictors, such as elevation and other terrain indices, within a moving window. Regression coefficients are estimated for every cell using summed-area tables, so the cost is independent of the window size, then resampled to the target resolution and applied to the fine-resolution predictors. Multiplicative and additive anomaly application downscale time series relative to a baseline climatology, following the regression-on-elevation approach used for high-resolution climate surfaces described in Karger et al. (2017) <doi:10.1038/sdata.2017.122>.

Description: Comprehensive computational routines for random data generation, Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE), Maximum Product of Spacings Estimation (MPSE), and MCMC Bayesian estimation under the Improved Adaptive Type-II Progressive Censoring Scheme (IAT-II PCS). Users can supply custom probability density functions (PDF), cumulative distribution functions (CDF), survival functions, parameter ranges, and progressive censoring plans for any continuous univariate lifetime distribution, or rely on built-in parametric models (e.g., Generalized Exponential). Point estimation methods include MLE via optimization algorithms (Broyden-Fletcher-Goldfarb-Shanno (BFGS), Newton-Raphson (NR), Nelder-Mead (NM), Conjugate Gradients (CG), L-BFGS-B, Simulated Annealing (SANN), and Berndt-Hall-Hall-Hausman (BHHH)) and MPSE. Bayesian inference utilizes Metropolis-Hastings within Gibbs sampling under Squared Error Loss (SEL) and LINEX Loss (LL) functions to compute point estimates and Highest Posterior Density (H [...truncated...]

Title: Extinction Date Estimation from Sighting Records
Version: 0.1.0
Maintainer: Rodrigo Fonseca Villa <rodrigo03.villa@gmail.com>
Description: Estimates the historic date of extinction of a species from a time-ordered record of sighting events. Given a table of sighting counts per year, computes extinction date estimators from the sighting-record literature: optimal linear estimation under a record-value model (Roberts & Solow, 2003), nonparametric and sighting-effort-weighted persistence tests (Solow, 1993; Solow, 2005), a sighting-rate persistence test comparable across records with different observation periods (McInerny, Roberts, Davy & Cribb, 2006), a classical confidence interval on the end of a temporal range (Strauss & Sadler, 1989), a truncation-point extrapolation (Robson & Whitlock, 1964), and a combinatorial persistence test based on inclusion-exclusion over sighting-gap occupancy (Burgman, Grimson & Ferson, 1995). Every estimator is built on a single validated input object and returns a common result class with, where defined, a point estimate, a confidence interval, or a full persistence-prob [...truncated...]

New package dynamicmultiplex with initial version 1.1.0
Package: dynamicmultiplex
Title: Community Detection for Evolving Multiplex Networks
Version: 1.1.0
Description: Multiplex temporal community detection with customizable interlayer coupling. Runs Louvain or Leiden community detection on each network layer and constructs interlayer ties using Jaccard similarity, overlap coefficient, node-strength weighted variants, or direct node identity links, and also provides a two-stage snapshot-and-match tracker that aligns independently detected per-layer communities across time with the Hungarian assignment algorithm. Supports user-specified layer connectivity via the layer_links argument, enabling adjacent-only temporal coupling that avoids the long-range pooling problem in standard multislice approaches.

Package sundialr updated to version 0.2.0 with previous version 0.1.7 dated 2026-04-21

Title: An Interface to 'SUNDIALS' Ordinary Differential Equation (ODE) Solvers
Description: Provides a way to call the functions in 'SUNDIALS' C ODE solving library (<https://computing.llnl.gov/projects/sundials>). Currently the serial version of ODE solver, 'CVODE', sensitivity calculator 'CVODES' and differential algebraic solver 'IDA' from the 'SUNDIALS' library are implemented. The package requires ODE to be written as an 'R' or 'Rcpp' function and does not require the 'SUNDIALS' library to be installed on the local machine.

Version: 0.1.0
Description: Implements a semiparametric Bayesian regression framework using Bernstein polynomial baseline models for analyzing dependent current status data. The package accommodates proportional hazards (PH) and proportional odds (PO) regression models with Archimedean copulas ('Gumbel', 'Frank', and 'Clayton') to model the joint dependence structure between event and observation or censoring times. Estimation is performed using a Robust Adaptive Metropolis (RAM) Markov Chain Monte Carlo ('MCMC') algorithm. Model comparison metrics including Deviance Information Criterion ('DIC') and posterior summaries with Highest Posterior Density ('HPD') intervals and Kendall's tau are provided. Methodological details are described in Sharma and Balakrishnan (2026) <doi:10.1080/02664763.2026.2701921>.

New package libcmaesr with initial version 0.1.0
Package: libcmaesr
Title: R Interface to 'libcmaes'
Version: 0.1.0
Copyright: See the file COPYRIGHTS for details on the bundled 'libcmaes' copyrights
Description: A lightweight interface to the 'libcmaes' C++ library for the Covariance Matrix Adaptation Evolution Strategy (CMA-ES). CMA-ES is a state-of-the-art evolutionary algorithm for the optimization of difficult non-linear, non-convex black-box functions, as described in Hansen and Ostermeier (2001) <doi:10.1162/106365601750190398>. Supports the active, separable, and VD (diagonal plus rank-one covariance) variants of the algorithm as well as the IPOP (increasing population size) and BIPOP (bi-population) restart strategies. A patched copy of 'libcmaes' (LGPL >= 3) is bundled; see the COPYRIGHTS file for details.

New package ExactTree with initial version 0.1.1
Package: ExactTree
Title: Exact Tree
Version: 0.1.1
Maintainer: Juan Claramunt Gonzalez <j.claramunt.gonzalez@fsw.leidenuniv.nl>
Description: Grows optimally global trees based on the algorithm defined in "An exact dynamic programming algorithm for regression and classification trees" (2011). It is possible to obtain both classification and regression trees depending on the measurement level of the outcome variable. The algorithm is based on the dynamic programming principle and guarantees that the resulting tree is optimal with respect to the chosen impurity measure. The package also includes a function to visualize the resulting trees, a function that summarizes the tree with its splitting information and leaf information, and a predict function that provides estimates for a new dataset given a model fit.
Depends: R (>= 3.0.2), partykit, pracma, stats, grid, utils, graphics, formula.tools
